Procurement Services
Procurement Services plays an important role in the selection, acquisition and delivery of goods and services to the University. Driven to manage costs and quality, Procurement Services is dedicated to supporting research, teaching and enhancing the student experience through the following services:
- Providing expert advice and support to University staff regarding all aspects of procurement including: purchasing, leasing, requests for quotation (RFQ) and tendering.
- Assisting staff and providing guidance with the procurement of a broad range of goods and services, including establishing preferred suppliers in: Travel, Print, Telecommunications, Desktop / Laptop Computing, Image and Copy Devices, Office Consumables, Consultants and Contractors, Utilities, Major Equipment and Capital Works.
- Planning, managing and negotiating all acquisitions of a tenderable value ($200,000 inclusive GST).
- Mitigating risk and ensuring security of supply by establishing and approving all purchase contracts or agreements of a tenderable value.
- Ongoing development of effective 'self-help' tools to assist University staff procuring goods and services below ($200,000 inclusive GST).

Dell is now the sole preferred computer supplier

The University's contracts with our two preferred computer suppliers (Dell and Lenovo) have recently changed. Dell will be the sole preferred supplier for University computers.
Changes to Procurement Services organisational structure

Effective July 2011, the Procure to Pay and Corporate Card teams now report into Procurement Services.
Fleet vehicle pickup and delivery point relocation

Effective 23 August 2011, the central pickup and delivery point for the University's fleet vehicles will be relocated.
