Our unique and innovative 'complex systems' approach to project management and leadership is embedded in all our education and research programs. This approach examines the key interdependencies operating in today's complex project management and leadership frameworks, and engages with these dynamics to develop proactive and effective planning, management and leadership strategies.
We offer two coursework programs in this field: the Master of Project Management and the Master of Project Leadership.
Designed in collaboration with industry and taught by practising industry professionals using real-life business case studies, these programs are delivered through a combination of weekly and block-mode attendance. We offer some by distance and online, to fit around your professional commitments.
The Master of Project Management is designed for mid-level executives seeking the advanced project management skills needed to manage large, complex projects at operational level. It provides a sound preparation for a career in project management.
The Master of Project Leadership is designed for experienced project managers and senior executives seeking to better equip themselves to lead large complex projects at the strategic level across an organisation. An innovative and challenging program, it develops strategic thinking and questions the traditional concepts of leadership, management, governance, risk and sustainability.
We offer two research programs in this field: a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Students studying the Master of Project Management have the option of taking a research practice pathway.
