Soil Organic Carbon amount and turnover time in perturbated soil systems using radioactive carbon signature

Summary

The project is aimed at modeling the stock and turover time of carbon-based soil organic matter using 12C and 14C observations in non-stationary systems. The modeling foresees the use of an existing minimalistic model and the improvement and use of an existing, highly mechanistic model based on advection-diffusion-reaction processes.
