Program Type
Masters/PHD
Synopsis
Significant knowledge has been accumulated about the process of music perception and production in the form of computational models, but the application of this knowledge to new music technology involves a number of design problems. Of particular interest is the problem of integrating new technologies into existing creative methodologies. A number of models can be applied to creative software, posing important research questions.
