Synopsis

These projects cover typical chemical engineering operations including: 

  • heat transfer
  • mass transfer
  • mixing
  • multiphase flow
  • separations
Design approaches for conventional plant scale poorly to these processes at the microscale. In these projects, we combine laboratory measurements with microPIV and microLIF diagnostics with CFD modelling in order to understand the fundamental processes and to expand the design basis for microstructured chemical plant.
