With the rapid economic growth of South Korea and the strengthening of its economic, political and cultural relationships with other countries, Korean language education round the world has grown rapidly since the 1970s. There is an increasing demand for Korean language skills from non-native speakers, teachers and researchers who require formal training in Korean linguistics.
