Synopsis

Professor Stephen Leeder and Professor George Rubin (SPH) are engaged in working with the United Arab Emirates to develop a program of cardiovascular disease control.  The Emirates are incredibly wealthy and undergoing dramatic urbanisation.  Obesity, diabetes and heart disease are on the rise.  The consultancy, which would welcome collaborative research students, will establish needs, seek opportunities and recommend potential paths forward.  This is a magnificent opportunity for policy development research with the potential for setting an example in dealing with the global scourge of cardiovascular disease.
