Program Type

Masters/PHD

Synopsis

Terms such as ‘spaces of flow,’ ‘continuous surfaces,’ ‘movement’ and ‘mobility’ are consistently foregrounded in contemporary architectural discourse.  To trace, survey and juxtapose shifting preoccupations with the role and structuring of movement in architecture can provide a useful means of interrogating and historicising such discussion.
