Curious Design Assistants for Mass Customisation
Summary
The application of curious design agents as user-interface assistants in mass customisation systems.
Supervisor(s)
Research Location
Design Lab, at the Faculty of Architecture, Design & Planning
Program Type
Masters/PHD
Synopsis
Mass customisation provides non-designers the opportunity to design and purchase customised products at prices similar to those of mass produced items. The challenge is developing systems that can support the design process, especially in the exploration of the very large design spaces that mass customisation systems typically present. This research will explore the potential of applying curious design agents as user-interface agents to assist in the exploration of large design spaces.
