About Dr Liang Qiao

Being medically trained in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Qiao has developed a strong passion in understanding how liver cancer develops and how this deadly disease can be best treated.

Dr. Liang Qiao is a senior Research Fellow/Senior Lecturer of the University of Sydney whose research interests includes liver cancer, NASH, cancer stem cells, signal transduction, and cancer gene therapy.

1999-2002: Post Doctoral Fellow, Massey Cancer Center, Virginia Commonwealth University, USA
2002-2005: Senior research Officer, Storr Liver Unit, Westmead Millennium Institute, The University of Sydney
2005-2009: Research Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong
2009-present: Senior Research Fellow, Senior Lecturer, and Career Development and Support Fellow, NSW Cancer Institute (Based at Storr Liver Unit, Westmead Millennium Institute, The University of Sydney)
