About Professor Catherine Waldby
Research interests include: social studies of biomedicine and the life sciences, particularly in HIV/AIDS, the relations between medicine and sexuality, modes of medical imaging and representation, the stem cell sciences and human tissue economies.
Professor Waldby is recognised nationally and internationally as a leading researcher in social studies of Biomedicine.
Professor Waldby has published widely in four monographs, a broad range of journals and carried out research across a number of cognate fields. Her work is highly interdisciplinary and well cited in a number of fields, including in the humanities and medical sciences as well as the social sciences.
