About Dr Elisabeth Valiente-Riedl

Research interests include: the impact of ethical trade initiatives that lie at the nexus of corporate social responsibility and consumer movements; the evolution of a human rights-based approach to development.

Dr Elisabeth Valiente-Riedl teaches into and coordinates the internship program for the Master of Human Rights and the Master of Human Rights and Democratisation in the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Sydney. Elisabeth is currently examining the impact of the fair trade market in coffee on marginalised producers in Papua New Guinea. She is also involved in collaborative research projects evaluating the evolution of a human rights-based approach to development.
