About Dr Paul Fawcett
Research interests include: governance, public policy, political sociology and comparative politics.
Most of this research has been concerned with critically assessing the argument that we are witnessing a shift from government to governance in which hierarchical modes of governing are being replaced by more networked and decentred approaches to public policymaking. He has a theoretical interest in these arguments but he has also sought to examine how they can be applied to study changes in the core executive, processes of political participation and policy transfer in various countries, including Australia, the UK, Denmark and New Zealand. Paul welcomes enquiries from doctoral candidates on any of the above topics.
