University of Sydney Health and Medical Research Strategic Review
The Health and Medical Research Strategic Review - the Wills Review - has been initiated to ensure that the University is well-placed to advance our interests and continue to hold our strong position in health and medical research.
The Review follows the major reviews commissioned by the State and Federal governments and is being held before an anticipated call from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for the recognition of advanced health centres.
Who will conduct the review
The Deputy Chairman of Research Australia, Peter Wills AC, has been secured to chair the review committee.

Reporting and intended outcomes of the Review
The review will report to the Vice-Chancellor, providing the following:
- Issues paper (PDF, 1.3MB)
- Discussion paper (PDF, 2.3MB)
- Final report
The review should produce the final report in April 2013 which will recommend appropriate strategies for advancing the University’s health and medical research sector.
