Eligible to apply if - PhD awarded on or after 1 March 2010 with NO Career Interruption OR on or between 1 March 2006 and 1 March 2010 WITH Career Interruption, for reasons of maternity or parental leave; carer’s responsibility; illness; disruption due to relocation for international postdoctoral studies; non-research employment or unemployment.


A DECRA offers funding of up to $134,512 per year for 3 years. The per annum salary contribution from the ARC is fixed at $94,512, including 28 per cent on costs, and up to $40,000 project costs. Salary and/or project costs will not be awarded separately.

  7. Create an application in RMS as soon as the application form is made available
  8. Complete Research Proposal Clearance Form 
  9. Complete the Written evidence proforma (PDF)
