Aims

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) – European Union (EU) Collaborative Research Grants scheme aims to provide assistance to Australian researchers to participate in multinational research collaborative projects with international researchers that have been selected for funding under the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) Cooperation Calls for proposals.

 

Eligibility

Projects involving Australian researchers based in Australia that are chosen by the European Commission (EC) for funding, may be eligible for NHMRC support.

Duration

A maximum of $200,000 per year, up to a maximum of five years.

Application Process
  1. Read How to apply for a NHMRC scheme and Prepare a proposal before you start
  2. Contact the Research Grants and Contracts office
  3. Read the NHRMC-EU Funding policy
  4. Complete an NHMRC - EU Collaborative Research Grant application form
  5. Submit a draft proposal alongside a copy of the final application submitted to the European Commission, to Research Grants and Contracts by the internal closing date
  6. Complete Research Proposal Clearance Form
  7. Submit complete final application by final application due date
