|---|---|
| Funding body | University of Sydney |
| Status | Ongoing |
| Aims | The annual The Fellows Support Contribution Scheme aims to reward success in attracting prestigious research fellows by providing a financial contribution towards the shortfall between the salaries provided by category 1 research fellow schemes and the University pay scales. |
| Eligibility |
Eligible fellowship schemes include Category 1 competitive, peer reviewed fellowship schemes with the exception of schemes like the ARC Laureate and NHMRC Australia Fellows where salary packages are negotiated with the institution. Fellowships schemes where the fellowship received covers the salary paid do not generate a shortfall and are not eligible. To be eligible fellows must be paid through the University of Sydney payroll. |
| How funding is distributed |
The distribution mechanism has been developed to be fair, transparent and administratively efficient.
|
| Key dates | Contributions are transferred to Fellows’ accounts in two instalments: April and October |
