Consequences of an adverse finding of research misconduct

Students

For students the actions that will be taken as a consequence of an adverse finding can be found under Ch 8 of the By-law disciplinary action can vary from a counselling session, to the failure of a unit of study, to (in the most serious cases) termination of enrolment or the rescinding of a degree.

Staff

For staff, the actions that will be taken action for misconduct can be found in the Enterprise Agreement or the staff member’s contract of employment and any relevant University policies.
