Eligible researcher data
All research-active staff, including permanent academic staff, research-only staff, post-doctoral staff, as well as technical, general or casual staff, employed by the University on the census date, 31st March 2009, were eligible for inclusion in ERA 2010. For ERA 2012, the census date will be 31st March 2011. Research-active in this context means having produced a research item of interest.
For all submitted staff we needed to provide their FTE (if applicable), FoR (up to a maximum of three four-digit codes, researcher to select their own), Level (Level A-E; or Other for non-academic staff), Status (Employed or Other) and Function (Teaching and Research, Research Only, or Other).
Eligibility and necessary information was drawn from University records. Staff were requested to select up to 3 Field of Research (FoR) codes describing their areas of research. All staff were asked to verify and certify that the information contained in IRMA relating to them is complete and correct (including their personal details, FoR codes, research outputs, income, applied measures and esteem).
