Sydney College of the Arts Ranks High in SCEQ Results

Sydney College of the Arts has proved its reputation as a provider of high quality learning and teaching at the University of Sydney. The 2007 Student Course Experience Questionnaire has ranked Sydney College of the Arts as the best in the University on the good teaching scale, clear goals and standards, and appropriate workload scales.

Since 1999, the Institute for Learning and Teaching has been collecting information for the University about students' perception of their learning and teaching experience. The SCEQ is developed specifically for this purpose and to help in curriculum review and faculty-level development, to enhance the level of teaching and student learning.

Overall student satisfaction in 2007 at Sydney College of the Arts was the best result seen in six years. It is a great tribute to the commitment of the academic staff and all associated with learning and teaching at Sydney College of the Arts. In 2008, a number of strategies will be invoked to assure its continued success and commitment to the student experience.
