2010 Undergraduate Degree Show

Anna McMahon

The Sydney College of the Arts 2010 Undergraduate Degree Show will open on Tuesday 16 November, 6 to 8pm.

Exhibited throughout SCA's galleries and studios, the exhibition will showcase the work of over 270 students completing the Bachelor of Visual Arts and Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) in Ceramics; Film and Digital Art; Glass; Jewellery and Object; Painting; Photomedia; Printmedia; Sculpture Performance and Installation; and Theoretical Enquiry.

"Exhibiting in the SCA Degree Show is a huge achievement for me and something that I've been looking forward to all year. As an Honours student, it represents the summation and final chapter of a year spent researching and developing concepts."

"Through my artwork I aim to explore the relationship that exists between light and photography. I am interested in displaying both conceptual and formal crossovers between these two elements. My artwork questions what it is that we ‘see’ in the photographic image,"
Anna McMahon, Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), Photomedia.

Brooke Wagstaff

"My work is based on the study of abstract painting in Australia and internationally. It is a hybridization of two styles of abstract painting; geometric painting and painting in the expanded field. Exhibiting in the Undergraduate Degree Show is significant for me because I get to show people what excites me about being an artist," Brooke Wagstaff, Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), Painting.

The Undergraduate Degree Show continues to Friday 26 November.

Exhibition Hours:
Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm
Saturday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm
