A forum with Brad Buckley and John Conomos
The Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) will present Double Take a forum in conjunction with the current exhibitions by Professor Brad Buckley, The Slaughterhouse Project: Alignment and Boundaries (L’Origine du monde) and I wonder whether that’s Joanna Hiffernan with a Brazilian (revisited) and Associate Professor John Conomos, The Spiral of Time. The forum will be held at the ACP on Saturday 4 May, from 10am to 4pm.
Chaired by Nicholas Tsoutas, the speakers Dr Ann Finegan, Dr Alex Gawronski and Professor Ross Harley will engage in a conversation with the artists about their diverse modes of production and their influences in the context of installation art.
In conjunction with the panel discussion, there will be a screening of films by Alfred Hitchcock and Georges Franju, which is an opportunity to gain an insight into Conomos’ exploration of identity, memory and time.
The Slaughterhouse Project: Alignment and Boundaries (L'Origine du monde) and I wonder whether that's Joanna Hiffernan with a Brazilian (revisited) and The Spiral of Time will be on display at the ACP from Saturday 2 March to Sunday 19 May 2013.
