I AM WHAT I PLAY, curated by SCA PhD candidate, Gary Sangster, and Katie Dyer and John Di Stefano, features a program of new video works by staff and students from Sydney College of the Arts, the University of Sydney, and the National Art School.

During July, Sydney is the scene of dynamic and creative cross-pollination, with the global focus of the 18th Biennale of Sydney, art school collaborations, and the gathering of the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand (AAANZ). With the backdrop of the Biennale and the AAANZ Conference, I AM WHAT I PLAY takes up the challenge to inspire creative collaborations, mix artistic platforms and stimulate new networks for exchange by bringing together audiences, national and international art students, artists, unexpected DJs, and lecturers.

I AM WHAT I PLAY will feature the work of SCA Associate Professor, Merilyn Fairskye, and PhD candidates, Bridget O'Brien and Tianli Zu, Master of Fine Arts candidate, Penelope Cain, Master of Studio Art candidate, Jane Caswell, and Bachelor of Visual Arts candidate, Clare Ferra.
