Ubuntu

Ubuntu

Ubuntu, an annual sale of donated art by outstanding Australian artists, will be held at Sydney College of the Arts during February 2010. This year, 100% of sales will be donated to the Hamlin Fistula Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Ubuntu will be supporting the inspirational work of Australian Dr Catherine Hamlin AC. The Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, works to change the lives of some of the world's most destitute women in one of the world's poorest countries. Run completely on donations, the hospital treats nearly 3000 women every year suffering obstetric fistula. These young women have suffered obstructed childbirth without medical assistance and having lost their babies, are left with severe injuries, resulting in incontinence.

The annual summer's evening of art, music, food and wine, will be held in the beautiful grounds of SCA on Friday 19 February. For further information on purchasing tickets to the event, please visit: www.ubuntuart.com.au

The exhibition will be on display from Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 February, 10am to 4pm.
