Research and Art Practice
My research focuses on the nature of my own critical position in terms of my own art practice, which is influenced by some post-modern and contemporary theories, presented in different arguments. The research shows my theoretical and visual experimental argument, using four art forms to reflect my conceptual ideas. I examine the exploitation of the state of phenomenology that expresses the ongoing negotiations between the sensory information and human concept to create a twisted reality and uncanny artwork.
The viewer is shown to be taking the mainstream role in my visual and theoretical investigations. There is an unconscious debate between the manipulated viewer in the artwork and the spectator, which is associated with the overall process of keeping the formal structure of practice, together with the outsider uncanny, in order to makes the lie believable.
Art has an undeniable power since Plato’s cave theory; artists can find a powerful effective idea by releasing themselves from the system. I have tried to use this power of art to temporary disengage the viewer from the known logical system, to enable me to deliver my thoughts. However, the artist and the viewer live in the same world and experience the development of life. To avoid underestimating the viewer I found myself-updating the tools of art making by exploiting technology and new media, applying several forms of art to research one idea. That can impact positively on both the concept and the spectator.
