Ancillary expenses

Ancillary expenses are some of the additional costs associated with your degree, to ensure you have access to the best and most affordable materials during your studies.

After you have enrolled, you will be able to pay your ancillary expenses on-line. Please refer to the schedule of ancillary expenses below:

  • If you are a Bachelor of Visual Arts first year student, you are required to pay $250 at the time of enrolment to cover the cost of materials used in your studio project assignments. The cost of other required material is your own responsibility.
  • If you are an honours or postgraduate student, you may be required to pay a fee for studio access. Further information on how to arrange your studio induction and access will be provided during your orientation session.
  • If you are enrolling in an elective, you may be required to pay an extra fee for or purchase additional materials.
  • If you are in the final semester of your course, you are required to pay a contribution towards the cost of the Degree Show exhibition and catalogue.

Adobe Creative Suite Licence

SCA partnered with Adobe to provide all SCA students and other faculty students enrolled in SCA units of study requiring to use the Adobe Creative Suite, the opportunity to access the full range of the Adobe Creative Suite products via the Adobe Creative Cloud for the special price of just $50 (plus $5 GST) per year. The Adobe Creative Cloud provides anywhere access to all-new desktop versions of your favourite Adobe creative tools and services as well as immediate access to new features and updates.

To register for access to the Creative Cloud via this special SCA price students will need to pay the $55 fee on-line. Once your payment has been processed your student email details will be provided to Adobe. You will then receive an email about how to finalise the registration process.

For first year BVA students who paid 1st year levy of $250, the licence cost for the year is included in the levy.
