SHORT COURSES

In association with the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Sydney, SCA offers an extensive short course program open to anyone with an interest in visual arts.

Held in the state-of-the-art facilities at Sydney College of the Arts, courses are designed for beginner to intermediate artists. Programs will guide you from the basics to more advanced techniques, as well as expanding your conceptual perspectives. Taught by established artists in their respective fields, teachers have extensive educational experience as well the necessary enthusiasm to pass on their passion and tips.

  • Drawing for Beginners Weekend Workshop
  • Life Drawing
  • Portrait Drawing and Painting
  • Solar Plate Etching Weekend Workshop
  • The Portrait Head in Clay
  • Introduction to Oil Painting
  • Still Life Painting
  • Australian Aboriginal Art
  • Art Therapy


Courses are held on weekends and weekdays.
