Portfolio Presentation and Interview

An interview and portfolio presentation will be arranged for all domestic applicants on the basis of the studio preferences indicated on the questionnaire. Applicants will be advised of the date and time of their interview in late October/early November.

Interviews take place in late November/early December. Due to the large number of applicants it may not be possible to change these appointments. Applicants from interstate or regional areas, or those with other special circumstances which make attendance impossible, may send a portfolio and brief commentary to be assessed outside the interview period.

The interview panel will assess applicants' aptitude based on the following criteria:

  • commitment and vocational interest
  • cultural awareness
  • intellectual and critical skills
  • communication skills
