The smallest word is surrounded by acres of silence for me, even after I manage to get that word down on the page, it seems to sit there like a mirage, a speck of doubt glimmering in the sand - Paul Auster, Leviathan

Folio 20 will be a folio exhibition coordinated by Janette Conboy and Leigh Riggozi surveying the work of twenty visual artists, who are academics and/or postgraduate research students at Sydney College of the Arts. In order to embrace the rich diversity of the current practice in printmedia within this group of artists, there is no prescriptive theme for the show, rather the above quote from Paul Auster's Leviathan has been provided to all participants as a framing reference and starting point from which the artists will produce their own unique response.

Each artist will produce an edition of 30 prints, and 2 artist proofs with the overall dimensions of the paper (or other substrate) being 56 x 76cm. The 2 artist proofs will be used for exhibiting purposes, 1 set to be displayed on the gallery walls and 1 set to be displayed in its solander box. Each participating artist will receive a boxed set of the prints; 1-boxed sets will be allocated to the sponsor of the project with the remaining 9-boxed sets available for sale with proceeds divided amongst the participating artists.

Participating Artists include Andrew Hurle, Colin Rhodes, Cecilia Huynh, Claude Jones, Deirdre Brollo, Isabella Lee, Janet Parker Smith, Janette Conboy, Jonathon James, Justin Trendall, Jo Morris, Karen Ball, Kate Mulheron, Kerry Macaulay, Leigh Rigozzi, Mirabel Fitzgerald, Nerida Schaefer, Paul Ogier, Rebecca Beardmore, and Tom Arthur.
