Sigmar Polke, left, seal off the doors and do not enter the room. Right, using such laughably simple little words like 'always' or 'never' of 'unfortunately' or 'aw'!

Music from an Unknown Source brings together a series of 40 gouaches, all produced in the year 1996. Since the early 1960s, Polke has been concerned with the relationship of the reality as contained in a picture and reality itself, the relation between art and daily life. He often takes an ironic position, distancing himself from the actual content and allowing him to concentrate on the form and the material of painting itself.
The exhibition will be opened by Mr Tony Bond, OAM
