SCA GRADUATE SCHOOL CONFERENCE
The SCA Graduate School Conference is an annual event, created to provide SCA PhD candidates with an opportunity to present an aspect of their research alongside academic staff in the faculty and within the wider Graduate School. Candidates can publicly test the development of their ideas and share the outcomes of their studio experiments with fellow candidates and academics. Through the conference, SCA staff and students can build and foster networks in and across disciplines, degrees and fields of practice-led research.
The 2013 conference will investigate Feminism and Contemporary Art and Space, Place and Country, and will feature keynote speakers Dr Maura Reilly and Prof. Deborah Bird Rose
The conference has been held in 2011 and 2012, and is open to all currently enrolled PhD candidates. Each session is chaired by an SCA academic with relevant expertise and papers are published online. The SCA Graduate School Conference also comprises an exhibition of studio investigations by PhD candidates, held throughout the SCA Galleries.
