The Callan Park Gallery for Self-Taught and Outsider Art is based at Sydney College of the Arts, fronting directly onto Callan Park. Its mission is to showcase Self-taught and Outsider work of the highest quality in an ongoing series of exhibitions.

Anthony Mannix

An exhibition of work by Australia’s most celebrated Outsider artist, will open at the Callan Park Gallery on Thursday 3 December, 6 to 8pm. The opening will feature a rare collaborative performance by Anthony Mannix, with a live reading of recent writings called ‘The Being of Art’, accompanied by a tape loop soundscape by The Loop Orchestra.

A collection of snake sculptures by Portuguese artist, José dos Santos (1904-96) and snake artworks by Australian Self-Taught and Outsider artists, will open at the Callan Park Gallery on Thursday 5 November, 6 to 8pm.
