International Journal for Self-Taught and Outsider Art
The International Journal of Self-Taught and Outsider Art is a refereed journal that publishes essays on all aspects of art, its histories, contexts, and debates, as they relate to the field. The journal provides a forum for serious, sustained writing on Outsider Art and its multiple manifestations from around the world: Art Brut, Self-Taught Art, Contemporary Folk Art, Fresh Invention, Art Singulier, Visionary Art. It takes a trans-disciplinary standpoint, welcoming contributions from scholars in the humanities, arts, social sciences and medicine, and is cross-cultural in approach.
