SCA Research Support Grant Scheme

The purpose of the Research Support Grant Scheme is to support and seed high quality research by individual researchers, or groups of researchers, in order to promote Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) eligible publications, creative outcomes and competitive research track records that will contribute to our success in producing the highest quality of research in the field of contemporary visual arts.

Those who are successful in attracting outside funding should be supported to complete their grants, and generally encouraged for their achievements. That funding should be related to track record relative to opportunity, which means taking into account the position of early career researchers, or the impact on research of those who have been involved in other service to the Faculty.

The scheme will fund items such as travel for primary research, conferences and symposia directly related to primary research and likely to result in DEEWR-eligible publications and creative works, research assistance, and purchase and/or reproduction of research materials. Funding will NOT be provided for computers or computer related material, A/V equipment or similar hardware, nor accommodation. The SCA Research Committee reserves the right to specify how awards may be used.
