Business Leader Postgraduate Scholarship

Background: The scholarship is intended to promote academic excellence at the Masters level in selected degrees offered by the University of Sydney Business School.
Open to: Open to full-time international, full-time or part-time domestic students.
  Only those who have received an offer of admission for one of the eligible Masters programs in the Business School for the subsequent semester are eligible to apply.
  Current students who have completed study toward their degree and students receiving an offer of admission for a combined Master’s program are not eligible to apply.
  Eligible applicants will be invited to apply based on information provided in their course application. Note, only successful recipients will receive notification of the outcome of this award. Only eligible applicants will be asked to apply, consideration for this scholarship can not be specifically requested.
Value: Scholarship covers 50% tuition fees.

University of Sydney Business School Master of Management Scholarship

Background:

The University of Sydney Business School Master of Management Scholarship promotes academic excellence in pre-experience Management education.

Open to: Open to local students who successfully gain entry into the Master of Management or the Master of Management (CEMS).
  Applicants will undertake continuous full-time or part- time study with the University of Sydney Business School from the semester for which they sought entry.
  There is no separate application process for this scholarship. Once interviews for entry into the degree are completed, the admissions committee submits a short list and recommendations to the School’s Executive Committee. A subcommittee may seek further information from short-listed candidates to help it make its decision.
Value: Scholarship covers 50% tuition fees.
Duration:  Tenable for the standard duration of either the Master of Management or Master of Management (CEMS).

Professional Leadership Development Scholarship (Master of Management)

Background:

The Professional Leadership Development Scholarship is a Business School funded initiative established to provide a professional development opportunity to administrative staff and to enhance the capability of the University to achieve its strategic purpose.

Open to: The Scholarship is open to University of Sydney employees in a professional role, who positively and demonstrably contribute to achieving strategic objectives in their work unit or across the University who hold an offer for the Master of Management program.
Value: The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the standard duration of the Master of Management program.

Business Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Background:

The Business Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence was established to recognise and reward high achieving postgraduate students in their second or subsequent semester of study who have yet to complete their degree.

Open to: Open to continuing full time international, as well as full time or part time domestic students in an eligible postgraduate coursework program. To be considered, part time students need to complete a minimum 12 credit points, while full time candidates need to complete a minimum 18 credit points in the semester prior to award. 
  To be considered, part time students need to complete a minimum 12 credit points, while full time candidates need to complete a minimum 18 credit points in the semester prior to award.
  Grades achieved in a prior degree within the Business School or at another institution can’t be counted towards the grade performance. However, units completed in Graduate Certificates or Graduate Diplomas may be considered if they are in an embedded sequence within a master’s degree, and if the student has  upgraded to the higher qualification
 

Students who received this award in a previous semester can be considered again the following semester.

Commencing students are not eligible for the Business Dean’s Scholarship.

Business Postgraduate Diversity Scholarship

Background:

The Business Postgraduate Diversity Scholarship was first established at the University of Sydney Business School in 2017. The Scholarship is intended to promote cultural diversity at the Masters level in selected degrees offered by the University of Sydney Business School.

Open to: The Scholarship is available to commencing international students who will begin their first semester of study with the Business School in one of the eligible postgraduate coursework programs involving 10 to 16 units of study.
  Applicants must have an unconditional offer of admission for Semester Two 2017 by June 12 2017. 
  Applicants must be citizens of India, Thailand, Taiwan, Colombia, Peru and Mexico to apply.
  Students who have already commenced or have transferred with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing are not eligible.
  Combined masters degree students are not eligible.
Value: Tier 1 scholarships are capped at AUD $20,000.00, Tier 2 at AUD$10,000 and Tier 3 at AUD$5,000 paid as a one-off payment and will cover tuition fees only. Successfully candidates will be awarded a tier based on merit.

The Dean's Scholarship for Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) Program

Background:

The scholarship offers financial support to students participating in the RARE Program.

Open to: The scholarship is open to local and international, postgraduate coursework students who have been selected for a place in The RARE Program.
  Recipients for these awards must be enrolled in a degree with the University of Sydney Business School and are in continuous full time or part-time coursework study prior to and returning from the project. 
  The scholarship recognizes candidates with sound academic performances in the University of Sydney Business School, who can also demonstrate an aptitude for cultural awareness, community development and sustainability and entrepreneurial capabilities.

Background:

The Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship provides financial support for international students to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters level by coursework.

Open to: Open to all international students who are admitted to a Masters degree at the University of Sydney Business School and have also been successfully selected to receive the Australian Government's Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship.
Value: The scholarship covers the balance of tuition fees owing after the Endeavour funding has been applied to the student's University tuition fees.

CEMS Exchange Travel Scholarships

Background:

The University of Sydney Business School is pleased to offer financial assistance to Master of Management (CEMS) students participating on exchange to a recognised CEMS partner university.

Open to: Local and international, postgraduate students currently enrolled in the postgraduate coursework program, Master of Management (CEMS) under the administration of the University of Sydney Business School.
  Candidates must be undertaking one or two semesters of exchange at one of the recognised CEMS partner institutions and undertake approved study which may be credited back to the Master of Management (CEMS) degree. 
  The scholarships may be held concurrently with other scholarship funding that assists with the Student’s Exchange Program.

The Master of International Business Travel Support Scholarship

Background: The Scholarship is to assist Master of International Business students with the program fees, airfares, and other travel expenses for the international study tour component of the International Business Project.

Shanghai Business Immersion Program Scholarship

Background:

The Shanghai Business Immersion Program Scholarship has been established to enrich the student experience and promote the international profile of this program.

Open to: The Shanghai Business Immersion Program Scholarship is available to students enrolled in the International Immersion in Business unit at the University of Sydney Business School.
  The scholarship is open to international and domestic students. 
  To receive the Shanghai Business Immersion Program Scholarship, the student must:
 
  • be registered in a University of Sydney Business School undergraduate degree or undergraduate combined Commerce degree program and have completed a minimum of 48 credit points prior to going on placement;
  • have a minimum credit average;
  • be an outstanding ambassador for the Business School (evidence of this will be demonstrated through academic achievements).

Graduate School of Government Australia - Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Development Scholarship

Background: This scholarship was established to fund one student per year to attend the annual forum (the Australian-ASEAN Dialogue) on Australia's relations with ASEAN.
Open to: The scholarship may be awarded to students of the Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and the Master of Public Administration.
  Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Public Administration can apply once they have applied to upgrade to the Graduate Diploma.

The Anstice MBA Scholarship for Community Leadership

Background:

The Anstice MBA Scholarship for Community Leadership assists emerging leaders in community organisations acquire world class business and management skills.

Open to: Open to all students who meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the Master of Business Administration.
  Applicants need not have applied for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) prior to applying for the scholarship, however only applicants with an offer to the MBA can be awarded the scholarship.
  Preference will be given to applicants working in the Not-for-Profit sector, especially charities.
  Applicants are assessed on academic merit, career achievements and evidence of on-going commitment to the sector.

The University of Sydney Business School Excellence in Leadership Scholarship

Background:

The scholarship is intended to promote academic excellence at the executive leadership level of education.

Open to: The scholarship is open to local and international students who successfully gain entry to the Executive Master of Business Administration.
Value: The scholarship is valued at half of the total degree tuition fees, or three of the six units of study the recipient is required to undertake. 
Duration:  The scholarship is tenable for the 1.5 year span of the degree.

UN Women National Committee Australia MBA Scholarship

Background:

This scholarship was established by the University of Sydney Business School and the National Committee for UN Women to advance the shared commitment to women’s leadership and accelerating progress towards gender equality.

Open to: Open to all women applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the degree, Master of Business Administration.
  Holders of Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizenship are eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration. The degree is currently not available to international students studying on a student visa.
  Applicants need not have applied for the Master of Business Administration prior to applying for the scholarship however only those applicants deemed eligible for entry to the MBA via the prevailing admissions processes are eligible to be awarded the scholarship.

Background: The scholarship is offered to address the under-representation of women in leadership roles and to accelerate progress toward gender equality 
  The University of Sydney Business School is committed to addressing the under-representation of women in senior leadership roles. 
  The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) gender indicator figures released in August 2015 reveal that men continue to hold the majority of Australia’s top leadership positions. Background:

The University of Sydney Business school is committed to addressing the under-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in senior leadership positions.

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business Global Executive MBA Scholarship has been established with the goal of accelerating the rate at which Indigenous Australians move into senior leadership roles within all forms of Australian enterprises.

The Indigenous Leaders Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2017 through a generous donation from Food Ladder, the University of Sydney Business School is offering The Indigenous Leadership Scholarship which covers tuition fees for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander commencing in the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Scholarship aims to provide an opportunity for a candidate that demonstrates leadership skills and community involvement.

Open to:

Australian Citizens who identify as Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. Those with an unconditional offer of admission for the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in the Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney.

University of Sydney Business School and Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Scholarships for Outstanding Academic and Sporting Achievement

Background:

Established in 2012, these scholarships are awarded to commencing or continuing students, currently enrolled in a University of Sydney Business School degree, who have achieved outstanding academic and sporting results.

Open to:

State and/or national-level sporting representatives who qualify for membership of the Elite Athlete Program and are commencing or continuing a postgraduate coursework degree with the University of Sydney Business School.

Selection of candidates is based on the academic merit of their undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree (or equivalent qualification), as well as recent sporting achievements.

These scholarships are only available to applicants with domestic fee status.

Value:  Up to the value of two units of study per semester

John Grill Centre for Project Leadership - Women Leaders in Projects Scholarship

Background:

This Scholarship was established by the John Grill Centre for Project Leadership to assist female leaders of major projects to further develop their leadership capabilities and to support better project and organisation outcomes.

Those who apply for the Scholarship will also be assessed for admission into the Program through the one application.

Open to:

Female applicants that have completed an undergraduate degree, graduate certificate or graduate diploma (or equivalent) at the University of Sydney or a comparable awarding institution with a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 65.

Applicants must also have a minimum of 10 years relevant professional project experience and are currently employed working on a major project, or on project related issues.

Applicants must receive an unconditional offer for the Executive Leadership in Major Projects (ELMP) Non-award Program, delivered by the John Grill Centre for Project Leadership at The University of Sydney, to be eligible for the Scholarship.

Applicants must have the support of their current employer to participate in the Program.

Value:  The Scholarship will cover the academic course fees for the four ELMP modules providing they are completed in the one calendar year.
