University of Sydney Scholar Chancellors Award

Jo Seto

"My scholarship represented the University's recognition of the hard work I put in during my high school years. Receiving $60,000 to support my study of the course of my dreams was an absolute bonus. This scholarship has allowed me to purchase textbooks and even complete an exchange unit in Shanghai." Jo Seto, B Arts (Hons)/Law student

The University of Sydney Scholar Chancellors Award is awarded to students who demonstrate an outstanding performance in their Year 12 results, achieving an ATAR of 99.90 or above (or equivalent).

These scholarships are awarded automatically following the release of ATAR results in December, although you must be enrolling as a local student and have a University of Sydney course preference on your UAC application to be eligible.

The scholarship is worth $10,000 per year for the duration of your undergraduate degree (including combined degrees). The scholarship can be deferred for one or two years.

Continuation of your scholarship each year is dependent on your continued enrolment and maintaining an excellent academic record, with an average mark of at least 75, that is, at Distinction level.

New Zealand students applying through UAC for entry into university are eligible for this scholarship. International students are not eligible.
