Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Outstanding Merit Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2002 by the Dean, the Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Outstanding Merit Scholarship was created to encourage the most talented individuals to undertake undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Architecture.

Open to: Recipients must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
  Recipients must be entering a Bachelor of Architecture and Environments, Bachelor of Design in Architecture and have acheived a minimum 98 ATAR at the HSC examination.

Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Merit Scholarship

Background:

Established in 1999 by the Dean, the Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Merit Scholarship was created to encourage the most talented individuals to undertake undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Architecture. 

The scholarship is only tenable in the Faculty of Architecture. 

With the approval of the Dean, the scholarship may be deferred for a maximum of one year before commencement of study.

Open to: Recipients must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
  Recipients must enrol full time in the agreed degree program during the tenure of their scholarship. 
  The scholarship may not be held with another scholarship of equal or greater value

CIS Scholarship in Architecture Leadership

Background:

The objective of the CIS Scholarship in Architecture Leadership is to facilitate structured learning to advance the scholarship recipient’s growth as an architecture practitioner and leader consistent with the aims and objectives of the Architecture Leadership Program.

Open to: Domestic undergraduate students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait  Islander descent enrolling in Bachelor of Design in Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture and Environments. 
  Recipients must not hold any other primary scholarship simultaneously
Value:  $18000 per annum

Background:

Established in 2003 by the Dean, the Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's International Merit Scholarship was created to encourage the most talented individuals to undertake undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Architecture. With the approval of the Dean, the scholarship may be deferred for maximum of one year before commencement of study.

Diana Inglis Carment Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2007 with a gift of $100,000 from the family of the late Diana Inglis Carment, to establish a scholarship for  Honours in the field of architecture. More than one award may be made as funds allow.

Open to: Students holding a scholarship of equal or greater value at the University of Sydney are not eligible for this scholarship.

J W and B K Elkins Architectural Scholarship

Background:

Founded in 1972 by a gift of $5000 from Mrs B.K. Elkins to establish a scholarship in the Faculty of Architecture to be known as the J.W. and B.K. Elkins Architectural Award. The object of the scholarship is to enable a student who has completed the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Design in Architecture, at the Pass Grade, but who is continuing into Honours, to undertake Honours research in the following year.

Open to: The award shall be based on the student's academic record within the degree and their application, including research proposal.
Value:  $1500 per annum, one off payment

Cox Richardson Architecture Scholarship

Background:

The Cox Richardson Architecture Scholarship was established in 2012. The objective of the scholarship is to facilitate structured learning to advance the scholarship recipient's growth as an architecture practitioner and leader. Cox Richardson contacted the Faculty in 2014 requesting the scholarship be changed so the recipients are students in the Bachelor of Design in Architecture program and related combined degrees to target students earlier in their architecture education.

Open to: Students must be enrolled full time in the Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Bachelor of Design in Architecture/Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Design in Architecture/Bachelor of Laws.
  Students must have completed the first and second semester design studios to be eligible.  
Value:  $5000 paid over two instalments after relevant census dates.
