Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Outstanding Merit Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2002 by the Dean, the Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Outstanding Merit Scholarship was created to encourage the most talented individuals to undertake undergraduate courses in the Sydney Schoo of Architecture, Design and Planning.

 Open to: Recipients must be Australian Citizens or Australian permanent residents who are recent school leavers who apply and enrol in either of one of the following degree programs administered by the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney:
 
  • Bachelor of Architecture and Environments,
  • Bachelor of Design in Architecture,
  • Bachelor of Design in Architecture (Honours)/Master of Architecture,
  • Bachelor of Design Computing, or
  • Bachelor of Design Computing/Bachelor of Advanced Studies.
  Eligible students must have achieved a minimum ATAR of 98 or equivalent and must not have completed any prior tertiary studies.
Value:  $1,000 per annum.
Duration: Tenable for one year only.
Opens:  January every year.
Closes:  March every year.

Architecture, Design and Planning Dean's Merit Scholarship

Honours

Diana Inglis Carment Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2007 with a gift of $100,000 from the family of the late Diana Inglis Carment, to establish a scholarship for Honours in the field of architecture.

Open to: To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be commencing full time honours in the Bachelor of Design in Architecture degree.

Students holding a scholarship of equal or greater value at the University of Sydney are not eligible.

Value:  $5,000 per annum.
Duration: Tenable for one year only.
Opens:  December 2018, date to be confirmed.

J.W. and B.K. Elkins Architectural Scholarship
Background: Founded in 1972 by a gift of $5000 from Mrs B.K. Elkins to establish a scholarship in the Faculty of Architecture to be known as the J.W. and B.K. Elkins Architectural Award.
Open to: Applicants must have completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Design in Architecture with a pass grade, and be continuing into an honours year with the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney.

Applicants must be approved and have enrolled in their honours year within the School.

Value:  $1,500 per annum.
Duration:  Tenable for one year only.

For Current Students

Cox Architecture Scholarship
Background: The Cox Architecture Scholarship was established in 2012. The objective of the scholarship is to facilitate structured learning to advance the scholarship recipient's growth as an architecture practitioner and leader.
Open to: Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Bachelor of Design in Architecture/Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Design in Architecture/Master of Architecture at the University of Sydney.  

Applicants must have completed and achieved a minimum semester average mark of 75 across the two first year design studio subjects in the undergraduate program.

Value:  $5,000 per annum.
Duration: Tenable for one year only.
