Background:

The University of Sydney Inspired by Business Scholarship was established to recognise and support talented students to achieve their full potential. 

Open to: Candidates who are domestic NSW undergraduate students only. International students or interstate students are not eligible to apply.
  Candidates who have completed the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or an approved equivalent secondary school examination in the year prior to commencing an undergraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney Business School. 
  Candiates who will enrol in a University of Sydney Business School undergraduate coursework degree.

The University of Sydney Inspired by Business Cadigal Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2017, the University of Sydney Business School Inspired by Business Cadigal Scholarship aims to provide financial support to students of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.

Open to:

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be an Australian Citizen of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent who have applied for entry through the University’s Cadigal Program for an undergraduate program offered by the University of Sydney Business School.

  Candidates who have completed the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or an approved equivalent secondary school examination in the year prior to commencing an undergraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney Business School.

Background:

A competitive entry level scholarship to assist high achieving international students with their transition to tertiary study.

Open to: Australian Year 12 qualification or accepted International senior secondary qualification and outstanding ATAR
  Meet admission and language requirements.
  Applicants commencing an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney Business School are eligible for this award. Students completing a University of Sydney Foundation Program with 90% overall average with admission to an undergraduate coursework program with the University of Sydney Business School are also eligible for this award.
  Students who have already commenced tertiary study, or students transferring with credit exemptions or advanced standing, are not eligible.

University of Sydney Business School and Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Scholarships for Outstanding Academic and Sporting Achievement

Background:

Established in 2012, these scholarships are awarded to commencing or continuing students, currently enrolled in a University of Sydney Business School degree, who have achieved outstanding academic and sporting results.

Open to:

State and/or national-level sporting representatives who qualify for membership of the Elite Athlete Program and are commencing or continuing an undergraduate bachelor degree with the University of Sydney Business School.

Selection of candidates is based on the academic merit of their Higher School Certificate (or equivalent qualification), or academic performance in their University of Sydney Business School degree, as well as recent sporting achievements.

These scholarships are only available to applicants with domestic fee status.

Up to $10,000 per annum ($5000 per semester)

BlueScope Indigenous Scholarship in Business

Background:

Established to support an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student studying undergraduate business at University of Sydney.

Open to: Open to an Australian resident who identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, enrolled on a full-time basis in a Bachelor degree program at the University of Sydney Business School and who does not hold any other primary scholarship.
  The scholarship is open to commencing undergraduate students but continuing students may also be considered for the award.
Value:

$12,500 per year (inclusive of honours)

Duration:  Tenable for up to 2 years of full-time coursework.

The Dean's Undergraduate Scholarship in Business supports high achieving HSC students with a demonstrated interest in business.

Open to: Open to Australian citizens or permanent residents commencing an undergraduate degree program at the University of Sydney Business School.
  If the recipient is undertaking a combined law degree the scholarship is only valid for the duration of the Business award course and honours year, if taken.
  Candiates who will enrol in a University of Sydney Business School undergraduate coursework degree.

Background:

The David W Johnson Scholarship supports students from rural New South Wales.

Open to: Open to Australian citizens or permanent residents from regional NSW commencing an undergraduate degree program with The University of Sydney Business School.
  Regional students who apply for the Sydney Scholars award with the University of Sydney Business School will automatically be considered for this award.
  Each scholarship is offered for, and is tenable in, a specific degree program and is not transferable to another degree program, except with the permission of the Dean responsible for the initial program, and if this does not involve lengthening the tenure of the scholarship.
  The scholarship may not be held concurrently with other University scholarship funds.

Background:

The Wayne Lonergan Distinguished Undergraduate Scholarship supports local students from State High Schools commencing an undergraduate degree at with the University of Sydney Business School.

Open to: There is no application process. State high school students who apply for Sydney Scholars with the University of Sydney Business School will automatically be considered.
  A confirmed offer of a scholarship must be taken up by enrolment in the first year of the nominated degree program in the year for which the offer is made. No deferment of enrolment or Scholarship is allowed.

The Victoria Hope Geary Scholarship

Background:

This Scholarship has been generously donated by Marc and Nadia Geary in honour of their daughter Victoria, to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds studying at the University of Sydney Business School, who aspire to have careers in the finance industry.

The Scholarship specifically aims to support students that exhibit a passion for finance related streams of study, as well as those who aspire to careers in the private wealth management industry.

Background:

This scholarship was established to assist with academic life and undergraduate performance at the University of Sydney Business School.

Open to: Open to current local and international undergraduate coursework and Honours students who have completed at least one year of study.
  Must have completed a minimum 48 credit points (PASS) coursework in the prior academic year to be considered for the award.

The Dean's Scholarship for Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) Program

Background:

The scholarship is intended to offer financial support to students participating in the Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) Program. The scholarship recognizes candidates with sound academic performances in the  university of Sydney Business School, who can also demonstrate an aptitude for cultural awareness, community development and sustainability and entrepreneurial capabilities.

Open to: Successful applicants to the RARE program. This program is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Background:

The Local Industry Placement Program Scholarship has been established to enrich the student experience and promote the profile of this program.

Open to: The Local Industry Placement Program Scholarship  is available to students enrolled in the Local Industry Placement Program (BUSS2100 or BUSS6500) at the University of Sydney Business School.
  Eligible programs include University of Sydney Business School undergraduate degrees or undergraduate combined Commerce degree programs; a Master of Commerce, Master of Professional Accounting, Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a Master of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations degree.

Shanghai Business Immersion Program Scholarship

Background:

Established in 2016, the Shanghai Business Immersion Program Scholarship is funded by the University of Sydney to enrich the student experience and promote the international profile of this program.

Open to:

Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate coursework degree in the University of Sydney Business School. Combined degrees are also eligible.

Candidates must be enrolled in BUSS2330 International Immersion in Business. Students who have previously completed BUSS2330 are not eligible.

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 48 credit points of study with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70, unless they can demonstrate financial hardship in which case a minimum WAM of 65 is required.
