Visas for International Delegates

In addition to a valid passport, visas are required for entry into Australia.  It can take 6-8 weeks to get a visa, although faster electronic visas are available for passport holders from most of Europe, USA, Canada, and several countries in Asia.  Please see the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website for more information.

We are liaising with the International Events Coordinator Network (IECN) within the Department of Immigration and Citzenship to streamline visa applications for international delegates.  Following registration, a letter of confirmation of registration will be supplied which can be forwarded to an overseas Australian Visa Office with the visa application.

Air travel

Please see the Sydney Airport website for information about the airport and transport into the city.  There is no nominated airline for the conference.

Getting to the Q-Station Conference Centre by public transport

From the airport, take the City Circle train and get off at Circular Quay. Take the Sydney ferry to Manly.  These are the big boats which depart frequently from Wharf 3 and provide a beautiful trip across the harbour.   Please see the Sydney Ferry website for more information.

At the Manly Ferry terminal, a free shuttle will take delegates on the 5 minute drive to the conference centre.  This shuttle will run repeatedly on Sunday afternoon until all delegates arrive.  Please see the Q-Station website for details.

You can see the Q-Station on a map of Sydney at this link to Google maps.
