Welcome to Plasmodesmata 2010
21-26 March 2010 in Sydney, Australia
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee I am delighted to invite
you to join us in Sydney next March for
Plasmodesmata 2010, the 7th International Conference in this
series. You are promised an exciting week of the latest in
intercellular communication, including intercellular signaling and
regulation, virus movement, gene silencing and co-ordination of
development.
The meeting will be held at a unique venue just inside Sydney Harbour
near the beachside suburb of Manly. The Quarantine Station, a
heritage site recently renovated as a hotel/ conference venue, offers
its own beach, fascinating historical artefacts, wildlife including
bandicoots and penguins and magnificent views of the harbour.
There are a number of activities possible from this site such as bush
walking, sea kayaking and it is a short trip to the surf beach at
Manly. It will be a wonderful venue for our meeting.
We are planning a fun social program to show off the highlights of
Sydney's relaxed lifestyle. I look forward to welcoming you to my
hometown for what promises to be a fabulous meeting next March.
