Middle Point

Midway between Darwin and Kakadu National Park in the wet-dry tropics of the Northern Territory, the Tropical Ecology Research Facility (Director: Prof. R. Shine) consists of a small village with houses, flats, offices, a fleet of vehicles and a large laboratory area. Much of the experimental research is conducted on the station itself, but we also have long-running ecological studies at Fogg Dam, 2 km away, and in surrounding savanna woodlands and floodplains.
