Since completing Honours in Chemistry in 1996 at the University of Sydney, I have lived and worked in Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, rural Australia, Nepal and the USA.

I have also gained further education: a Graduate Diploma in Scientific Communication at the Australian National University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with La Trobe University and The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists & Managers of Australia.

My work experience is fairly varied, including:

  • Business research for an international strategy consulting firm
  • Touring Australia with the Questacon Science Circus
  • Producing business conferences
  • Working in micro-finance in Kathmandu, Nepal
  • Working as a musician at East Central University in Oklahoma, USA.

I have recently returned to Sydney with my young family. Ten years after leaving it, I am once more based at the School of Chemistry. I work for a new collaboration between The University of Sydney, Nature Vet Pty Ltd, and Medical Therapies Ltd. My role involves compiling research data on anti-inflammatory drugs for submission to regulatory authorities.
