Postgraduate research scholarships
Fees for eligible domestic postgraduate research students may be covered as part of the Research Training Program (RTP). From 1 January 2017 the RTP replaces the Research Training Scheme (RTS). You can find out about these changes in our FAQs.
You can apply for our research scholarships and awards to contribute towards travel for study or research, living costs and other expenses.
Our university-wide postgraduate research scholarships have two main rounds of applications, which close in October and June.
For international students, a selection of scholarships are available, including Australia Awards.
Scholarships offered by the School of Chemistry

Supervisors may have grant funding available for stipend scholarships for local students. Applicants should discuss this possibility with their potential supervisors.
The School of Chemistry offers a small number of Faculty Scholarships that cover the cost of tuition fees for outstanding students. Students who have been successful in obtaining funds to cover their living expenses should contact the Postgraduate Coordinator, , concerning the possibility of applying for one of these fee payment scholarships.
