Research Areas

The design and characterisation of structures that respond to external stimuli such as heat, pressure, and the presence of guest molecules; Negative Thermal Expansion (NTE) materials, highly compressible networks, lithium-ion battery materials, and metal-organic frameworks for gas separation; Neutron and synchrotron X-ray scattering, and DFT/molecular dynamics calculations for investigating these materials
