Technology: Person doing Update brings laptop (Lit vs Lit bring memory keys and use same laptop). First-named Lit person is responsible for picking up the data projector from the Front Office; second-named Lit returns it.

Research Updates (30 mins): Powerpoint. Focus on recent results and challenges: one slide only on background material; the rest is data, schemes, structures etc (ie not text or lists of bullet points).

Lit vs Lit (5 mins each): New format for this semester. You need to survey the assigned journal(s), and pick out the most interesting paper published there since that journal was last presented. You decide what makes it interesting, but then you have to convince us. The other person does the same, and we vote on which is more interesting. The loser brings snacks next week. Bring a one-slide Powerpoint presentation showing bibliographic details (title, authors, doi) plus a key figure, scheme or table that captures its essence and helps you to sell it.

RoW (5 mins): No RoW this semester.
