International Winter School – Food & Health

Run in collaboration with Padova University in Italy, the Food & Health Winter School is an opportunity for undergraduate students to complete an intensive, short term international experience as part of their degree program.

The Winter School takes a multi-disciplinary approach to exploring the critical issues surrounding food quality and human health.

Program

Students can earn credit (6cp) towards their degree, noting that the Winter School will not count towards a major.

The areas of focus will be broken up across the two-week period:

  • Week One – Food Quality: From Farm to Table
  • Week Two – Food Quality and Human Health

Students will be assessed as follows: Participation in group discussion (10%), participation in field work (10%), report (40%), group presentation (40%)

Location

The Winter School will be held in two locations – Villa Revedin Bolasco (Castelfranco Veneto – Treviso) and in Padova and will involve a number of lectures and activities by academics across both institutions.

Fees

All course fees for this program are covered by the University of Padova. Students are responsible for all costs associated with travel, including flights and accommodation. Students are covered by the University of Sydney travel policy.
