A one-stop-shop event for postgraduate courses and application information, the Postgraduate Information Evening is an opportunity for prospective students to find out more information about the postgraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Veterinary Science. The event consists of mini lectures and networking drinks where guests can ask questions and gain advice from faculty staff.

Sessions are arranged around an area of interest so that you can hear about one or more degree options in your discipline. After the conclusion of the talks there will be a networking session over drinks where you can join us and talk more with our staff.

Psychology is the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes, investigating the way we behave as individuals and as social beings, interrogating the way we act and the way we think, and exploring our interaction with the physical world and with each other.



Our benchmark graduate program in psychology comprises a suite of professional and scientific courses across the range of the disciplines including behavioral neuroscience, personality theory, social influences on the behavior of individuals and groups, forensic psychology, health psychology, developmental psychology, abnormal psychology, memory, attention, intelligence, sensory processes and perception, research methods and theories of learning and motivation.

AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY | 6.00PM - 7.00PM

6.00 - 6.15 Agriculture
A postgraduate degree in agriculture from the University of Sydney is focused on providing you with the know-how and skills to address and create solutions for the most challenging issues of our time affecting agriculture and the management of our natural resources, such as food security, climate change, carbon, water and the environment.

 The course considers these issues from the perspectives of science and economics, enabling students from different educational backgrounds to extend their knowledge and develop skills in a number of related disciplines.

6.15 - 6.30 Environmental Science and Environmental Science & Law
Courses in this program range from entry-level graduate certificates featuring core studies in environmental law, policy and legal reasoning, to advanced learning master's degrees including the opportunity to undertake an independent environmental research project under the supervision of one of our expert academic staff members.

 The program investigates key issues in biodiversity, land and water sustainability, renewable energy, energy conservation, carbon capture and emission management, sustainable building design, urban planning, public health and well-being, economic development, triple bottom line analysis, and environmental, national and international treaty law.

6.30 - 6.45 Sustainability
The Sustainability program at the University of Sydney provides a foundation in sustainability, including core aspects  of energy and resources, health, food and water security, policy, analysis, society and change. The course is multidisciplinary, with core and elective units currently being delivered by ten faculties across the University. The Sustainability program has been developed in collaboration with the University's sustainability experts and industry professionals from a range of areas. The program provides a strong foundation of understanding about sustainability, and allows students to focus on a multidisciplinary area of interest.

DOCTOR OF VETERINARY MEDICINE | 6.00PM - 6.45PM

The Faculty of Veterinary Science has introduced a new Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). This exciting, innovative course produces graduates with the knowledge as well as the practical, personal, professional and generic skills to enable them to pursue many career options as veterinary scientists participating in the care and welfare of animals. The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine is a four year graduate entry program, will be offered from 2015.

NUTRITION & DIETETICS | 6.00PM - 6.45PM

Our highly regarded postgraduate program in nutrition and dietetics provides training for those who wish to become accredited dietitians. You will receive practical training in all aspects of human nutrition including food science, nutritional science, dietary assessment and research methodology, medical nutrition, public health, and food service management, and have access to eminent dietitians at the cutting edge of dietetic and nutrition research and practice.

WILDLIFE HEALTH & POPULATION MANAGEMENT | 6.00PM - 6.45PM

The Sydney Wildlife Health and Population Management Program brings together the disciplines of animal health and wildlife population management to help you develop and enhance your skills in conservation techniques for native fauna, diagnosis and management of wildlife health, and management of native and pest species populations. Through the Master of Wildlife Health and Population Management, you will gain a qualification that will provide opportunities for employment in a range of wildlife-related settings.
