Bridging Courses
Application for equity scholarship
The University of Sydney is offering a limited number of equity-based bridging course scholarships for undergraduate students who will enrol at the University in 2013.
When awarding these scholarships we will be looking at the following criteria:
- financial disadvantage
- financial difficulties due to a disability or rural disadvantage, or
- potential financial disadvantage whilst at university
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS*
To prove financial disadvantage, we require you to submit proof of a Centrelink entitlement. Documentation needs to be submitted via email to , Scholarships and Prizes Officer by Friday 18 January 2013 or your application will not be assessed.
Acceptable Centrelink documents:
- Family Tax Benefit A (surname must match applicant's)
- Youth Allowance
- Austudy
- ABSTUDY
- Sole Parent Payment
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension
*If you have completed a UAC equity scholarship application, you do not need to submit supporting documentation.
2013 BRIDGING COURSE DATES:
Biology: 30 January-5 February 2013
Chemistry: 6-14 February 2013
Chemistry for Health Sciences: 15-22 February 2013
Mathematics Day (2-unit and Ext. 1): 11-26 February 2013
Mathematics Evening (2-unit and Ext. 1): 11 February - 28 February 2013
Physics: 21 February - 1 March 2013
Applications will close on 18 January 2013.
Scholarships will be offered after UAC main round offers are released.
