Scholarships
The School of Molecular Bioscience, the Faculty of Science and industry affiliates offer a number of scholarships to both postgraduate and undergraduate students majoring in the School's disciplines or participating in the honours program. - Bruce Veness Chandler Research Support Scholarship in Food Chemistry No.2
The School of Molecular Bioscience invites applications for research support funding from full-time postdoctoral or postgraduate candidates. The Scholarship encourages research involving the application of chemical techniques for the study of any aspect of food. The value of the scholarship will vary depending on the availability of funds. Applicants must submit a CV and a research proposal setting out details of the research support sought and its importance to the applicant's research.

Email: smb.studentsupport@sydney.edu.au Phone 9351 3757. - Gregory B. Ralston-Beckman Coulter Travelling Scholarship Established in memory of the late Associate Professor Gregory B. Ralston and supported by Beckman Coulter Pty Ltd, the award is made available to a research postgraduate student in the School who is pursuing a biochemically-based project, to assist with the costs of attending a conference of national or international significance
- G.S. Caird Scholarship (in Biochemistry) Awarded for greatest proficiency in the units of study MBLG2071 or MBLG2971, provided that the student's work is of sufficient merit
- Neville Whiffen Scholarship Established in 2004 by a bequest left as a legacy to the Nutrition Research Foundation by Neville Whiffen US Medal of Freedom, FSTC FRSC FRACI FIE Aust FI ChemE FAIM who was a Life Governor of the Foundation. This scholarship is awarded annually or bi-annually by the Nutrition Research Foundation on the recommendation of the Head of the Human Nutrition Unit to a student in the Human Nutrition Unit to attend a conference in Australia or overseas. Support will take the form of a subsidy towards conference attendance, not funding in full, with the amount of subsidy to be determined on merit. The value of the scholarship will vary depending no the amount requested and funding available. Applicants must submit a CV, details of the conference you propose to attend, and purpose of attendance (including an abstract/presentation if applicable).
