The SMB Calendar System
Introduction to the Calendar
The Faculty of Medicine has an enterprise calendar system which they have allowed members of the School of Molecular Bioscience to use.
From the MedFac Calendar FAQ:
"The Faculty Calendar system will allow all staff of the Faculty to maintain their own online calendar, as well as provide calendars for resources such as rooms, cameras and projectors. Users of the system are able to access their calendar from any machine connected to the Internet with a modern web browser. Users of the system are also able to synchronise PDAs such as Palm Pilots and Compaq iPaqs, as well as software such as Outlook and Palm Desktop with the calendar system."
Accessing the Calendar
The calendar is available at http://cal.med.usyd.edu.au.
Getting a Calendar account
To book resources you will need a calendar account.
Permanent staff (both general and academic) of the school of SMB should lodge a ticket with ICT to have an account created.
Separate accounts have been set up for each lab so that students and non-permanent staff members can use the system to book resources such as the cars, projectors and meeting rooms.
Administering your Calendar account
(including changing your password) can be done at
